Hi, my name is Dallas and I am here to help improve your overall mental health and mind-body connectedness. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) working towards my licensure and I am registered with the Department of Regulatory Agencies. I completed my undergraduate studies at Purdue University and earned two Bachelor’s degrees, in Sociology and French, with a minor in psychology. I attended Regis University and earned a Master’s of Arts in counseling. My work experience includes; domestic violence education, self-esteem work, addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, anger issues, and sleep disturbance. In addition to my experience, I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Self Exploration and Acceptance Counseling carries an integrative approach to therapy , client centered, and mind-body connectedness.
“A ship is always safe at shore, but that is not what it is mean for…” I have come to completely agree with Albert Einstein in that comfort is safe, but it’s not always all we have to offer others or ourselves. I began my journey to becoming a therapist while I was serving with the Colorado Springs Police Department as a police officer. While serving with CSPD, I attended a 40 hours course on Crisis Intervention Training. There began my love for helping people in crisis and suffering from serious mental illness. After suffering an on-duty injury and having to take a medical retirement, I found myself longing for more in my life. It took several years, and then I found my calling. Therapist.
Let me help you get on your journey to overall mental health healing and wellbeing. Please call me for a free 15 minute consultation and discover your abundance.
